CASTLES

Trentino region is full of castles, and Valsugana host many of them! During your holiday you can discover the magic atmosphere of our castles.

Castel Pergine

The Castle belonged to the lords of Pergine; it was then conquered by different families until 1531, when it was acquired by the Prince Bishop Bernardo Clesio. Today the castle includes a private restaurant and hotel, it hosts various exhibitions of contemporary art and cultural and music events. The castle is surrounded by two sets of walls. They were the medieval defence walls and the residential renaissance buildings.

Castel Ivano

The Ivano Castle dates back to 590 A.D. and it is surrounded by strong walls, on the sides of which the two main buildings were build. The castle used to be a Roman fort. Its strategic location between the Alpine area and the Venetian plain reinforced its importance during the Middle Ages. At the end of the First World War it was bought by the Staudacher family, which is currently the owner of the building.

Castel Telvana

The small internal curtains connect the cut-off bastions, which used to protect the baronet residence. The higher palace dates back to the Roman Empire, while the lower palace is gothic. The inner part of the castle cannot be visited but you can reach it walking from Borgo city centre.
